Peanut Policy

1. All food brought in for class must be peanut-free and commercially packaged. (Click here for a list of foods that are peanut-free.)
2. Students who bring food with peanut ingredients will sit in a designated area as part of our peanut-sensitive lunchroom.
3. Food served in school cafeteria will be peanut-sensitive.

Gym Shoes

All students will be required to use separate pair of shoes for gym. Shoes may be brought on P.E. days only. Students may only participate in active play in the gym if wearing rubber-soled shoes. This includes during school day and after.

School Uniform

Tops can be ANY SOLID COLOR and bottoms can be black, navy, khaki or Royal Park Plaid #70. Zion families have found success at Sears, Kohl's, Walmart, Target and Old Navy when shopping for solid color plain polos and bottoms. You can purchase some plaid uniform items at Shirt Kong and at Fischer's Uniforms.

Before School Care

Before School Care (BSC) begins at 7am. If you need to bring your child to school before 7:45am, you can drop him off at the side entrance of the main school building. Mrs. Steinbacher has many fun games for the children to play in the gym until classes begin. Billing for both BSC and ASC will be handled through the business manager, Michelle Thomason.

After School Care

All ASC groups are located in the Sonshine Center.  The students are divided by age into 3 groups. During ASC students will play both indoors and outdoors in Zion's playground. Students will be served a snack (around 4:30) however, some students will finish food in their lunch boxes as soon as they arrive in ASC.

If you need to reach ASC to let them know you are running late or that someone else will be picking your child up that day, please call the school office number and ex. 225 to reach the ASC room.  On our Zion website you will find the ASC enrollment sheet and billing information. Please turn in the enrollment form prior to your child attending ASC for the first time.
